With only a few games left in the fall league, the Smyrna Bugs are learning a lot.  This fall has been a step up for Smyrna Bugs going to kid-pitch league.  Now they are leading-off, stealing, picking off, bunting, running new plays and having a lot of fun.  However, the new level has had its’ challenges.

Now we have to count pitches, trust the pick-off moves, run out a bunt, field a bunt, frame the pitch, and many more things that I had forgotten since college.  WOW, although a lot of challenges, it has also been fun to move to this level of baseball.

With winter approaching, the coaching staff is already at work planning and strategizing winter workouts and focus sessions for individuals.  We are discovering what drills and routines you can practice or learn in a garage, sitting on the sofa, watching training DVDs, and on cool days.

What fun it is to dream the dream ‘again’ of travel baseball and guys who have a passion for the sport.
