hey ed,anyone ever said,”that church is too big,i’m use to a small church.”?our small group went to a small church for an event advertised on their sign.we went,it was good, and we left..not one person said a word to any of us.not “hey! how ya doin?”or, ‘are yall visiting?”or,”are yall lost?’or “what are yall doing here?” or not even a jack bower “WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?” …hold on…someone did say something to me on our way out.he only did because he remembered me from when he went to fbc when we were over on front st..he didnt ask who i was with or anything..i kinda wonder if that sign outside that small church is only for the few people inside that church and not for large community outside the church..i’m sure it’s for everyone, but they weren’t prepared for the visiting community…i’m thankful for a large church full of small groups that come together for events whose sole purpose is to reach the community to embrace Christ(i better capitalize that)and join us in what God is doing in this place her at 1st batist..thanks for helping lead, eddie

What a story about Small Groups. If you have ever visited a church, the chance of being spoken to is 50/50. You may even get a formal GREETER to speak, but leave and never know their name…no matter the size of the church! I am becoming more and more excited about the people at FBC Smyrna who are sharing what Christ is doing in their life. Once you have become a Christ-follower, He begins to show through you. I think the bottom-line for your experience is that most of those people have not had the chance to be the aroma of Christ (2 Corin. 2:14-15) to others. A man told me last week: “those who have been forgiven much, love much.” TW
